Full Name: Michael Alexander Corner
Age: 17
Date of Birth: November 12th 1979
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Purity: Halfblood
Occupation: Student

Arranged Marriage Program? No

Played-By: Penn Badgley

Appearance: Standing at exactly 6 feet tall, Michael is one of the taller students in his year, although there are still those who are taller than him, he does, however, tower over all of the girls in his house. He is quite well built, thanks to all the sport he plays, and this suits his height. He has brown eyes and short dark hair, which he keeps cut relatively short, although he usually musses it up a little (and spends more time on it than he would really like known). He has the typically pale skin of a Scot and has to be careful in the sun as he burns easily. As for clothes, Michael is very laid back about what he wears, preferring the jeans and a shirt or jumper look to anything else, although he wears sports wear quite a lot as well, and he is never seen without a scarf wrapped around his neck.

Personality: Michael is generally a pretty nice guy. He's enthusiastic and funny, always throwing himself head-first into projects. He is extremely stubborn and will never back down from an argument, even if presented with solid facts and proof that he's wrong, or be the first to say that he's sorry. He is an extremely charasmatic and persuasive personality and, as such, is used to being able to talk people round to his point of view. As a Ravenclaw it is probably unsurprising that Michael is very ambitious and has a huge amount of drive. He knows exactly what he wants to do and he's not going to let anything stop him from achieving his dream. Despite this, he is a realist and knows when something is out of his reach. History: Jonathon Corner was born, the oldest of three boys, into a working-class Wizarding family in Durham, both of his parents had attended Hogwarts, although his father was a MuggleBorn. At Hogwarts Jonathon was placed in Ravenclaw, where he immediately felt right at home, and upon graduating he moved to London and began an internship at St Mungo's, with the hope of becoming a Healer one day.
Catriona Campbell, however, was born youngest of seven children, four boys and three girls, to a middle-class family on the Scottish island of North Uist (her father was a lawyer and her mother stayed at home to look after the children). She had always been bright, and after leaving high school, Catriona left the island for Edinburgh, where she studied medicine.
Jonathon and Catriona met at a Muggle bar in Edinburgh where she was celebrating a birthday and he was on a stag night with a close friend. They spent all night talking and Catriona gave him her number at the end of the night. Jonathon phoned her (from a pay phone) the following day and soon they had begun dating. After several months he came clean about being a Wizard, which she, at first, didn't believe, but after demonstrating Catriona finally came to terms with this. They were married the following year, and relocated to her home town of Hougharry on the island of North Uist.
After a couple of years Catriona and Jonathon decided that the one thing that would complete their happiness would be a child, and so they set about trying to conceive. Unfortunately this proved easier said than done, and for many years it looked as though the couple would be forever childless. Until finally, as if by chance, Catriona discovered she was pregnant at the relatively late (for then, anyway) age of 37.
And then Michael was born on one frosty November morning to complete the family. They considered him their little miracle and it was evident, from a young age that he was going to follow in his father's footsteps. He first exhibited signs of magic on Christmas day when he was seven years old, when he vanished his brussel sprouts from his plate. Therefore, it came as a surprise to no one when Michael received his Hogwarts letter at the age of 11.
Michael had barely placed the Sorting Hat on his head when it announced to the Great Hall that he would be spending his next 7 years in Ravenclaw House, the same house his father had been in when he had been a student at Hogwarts. Both Michael and Jonathon were over the moon about this, and Michael has always felt at home in the Ravenclaw tower.
Michael had an idyllic first three years at school. He made lots of friends, did well in his classes and, in his third year, was made a Chaser on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. During his fourth year the TriWizard Tournament took place - Michael would have liked to have entered, had he been old enough, however he had too much respect for the rules to even try. Because of this he supported Cedric Diggory over Harry Potter, however he did not wear a 'Potter Stinks' badge, believing it to be bad sportsmanship.
Michael went to the Yule Ball with his friends, and this was where he met Ginny Weasley, who had the 'priviledge' of having her feet stepped on by Neville Longbottom. Michael (after a little prompting from Anthony and Terry) cut in and asked the younger girl for a dance, which she seemed only too happy to grant him. They began dating almost immediately. Their relationship lasted for a year and a half and was Michael's first relationship and first kiss.
At the end of the year, during the final task, Cedric Diggory had died. Michael remembers that night perfectly; the excitement, hysteria, fear and confusion. He hadn't known Cedric well, after all, they were in different years and different houses, but his death affected everyone. It was the first time Michael really came to grips with the idea that death was not just something that happened to the elderly or the sick. It could happen to anyone at anytime. This, of course, changed his perception of many things. He likes to think that since then he has been more open to life and to new experiences.
The following year, his fifth, Dolores Umbridge came to Hogwarts and everything was turned upside down. Suddenly it looked as though their entire class could possibly fail their DADA OWL. An idea which gave Michael many sleepless nights. There were also rumours of the Dark Lord returning, and, all in all, it was a very confusing time. Michael wasn't sure what to believe, but Ginny's steadfast faith in Harry Potter's story was enough for him. He, Anthony and Terry joined the DA that year, which is probably the only reason that Michael managed an E in his DADA OWL.
At the end of his fifth year Ravenclaw and Gryffindor played against one another for the Quidditch cup. Gryffindor won, something which Michael wasn't best pleased about. Ginny, upon seeing his reaction, broke up with him, and he 'went off' to commiserate with Cho Chang instead.
Michael did well in his OWLs. Receiving four O's (in Ancient Runes, Charms, Potions and Transfiguration) three E's (in Arithmancy, DADA and Herbology) and an A (in History of Magic)
During his sixth year Michael and Cho started to date seriously and they spent a lot of that year together. Sixth year, for Michael, and for most other Ravenclaws, was mostly spent studying in the library, coming to terms with their new workload and trying to keep their grades up.
Michael will remember the night that Dumbledore died for the rest of his life. He remembers rain and noise and confusion. He remembers standing around Dumbledore's body, unable to really believe that the man he had always assumed would live forever was dead. Everything that happened after that was a bit of a blur, but he remembers the funeral as the first time he ever cried in front of his friends. Not that that really mattered, as most people were crying as well.
After Dumbledore's funeral Cho left school for the last time and the pair of them decided to put their relationship on hold as it seemed that there were much more important things going on in the world at that time.
Michael has spent this past summer working at St Mungo's beside his father, trying to help out in any way that he can, and gaining experience for, what he hopes, will become his future career.
